My Journey to Taylor: February 2011

On Sunday February 13th my Mom celebrated a milestone birthday. Taylor and I decided to fly down for the weekend to surprise her. On Friday the 11th we flew to Orlando and then drove over to New Smyrna Beach on the east coast just south of Daytona. Stopped and got some flowers and birthday cake on the way. When we got to Grandma's I put a bow on Taylor, gave her the flowers and we tip-toed to the front door and rang the bell. When Grandma opened the door Taylor was ready with SURPRISE!!!!! Yes Grandma was surprised!!! We spent a really nice weekend with her and Ye-Ye Ron. It was also nice to leave all the snow behind and see green grass, blue sky, sunshine and temperatures in the 60's. The weekend ended all to soon as we headed back north on Monday the 14th.

On Saturday instead of going to the playground we headed over to Smyrna Dunes park for a walk on the boardwalk and a look at the ocean. What a great day for a walk. Taylor walked/ran most of the way but got a ride from Grandma or me when she could.

On Sunday we were going to take Taylor to the playground. When we got there guess who had fallen asleep? So we took a drive over to beachside to take in the view of the ocean and then drove down through Canaveral National Seashore. Were we got out of the car to take in a view of the ocean. It was a beautiful with not a cloud in the sky.

Getting Together with Friends, Celebrating Chinese New Year and Welcoming Charlotte Home

On Sunday February 6th, my friends from NJ/PA that I met through my adoption agency had another get together to celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome Charlotte home. She arrived from China in early December. We all had a great time and the girls had fun doing arts and crafts and playing together. It is wonderful to see our group grow as our girls come home from China.

On this day 1 year ago Taylor and I arrived home from China and Taylor became an American citizen when we landed in Newark.

On this day 4 years ago JoAnne and Danielle met each other for the first time and became a Forever Family. We got to celebrated their Gotcha Day anniversary with them.
