Florida Vacation

On Saturday September 25th Taylor and I headed down to Kissimmee FL for the week. It was a fun week seeing friends, family, visiting Disney and Sea World and of course swimming. We had a great time and it went by too quickly.

On Sunday we headed to Bradenton FL to visit family friends the Beckers. Taylor had so much fun with all the stuffed bears, bunnies and dogs they had in their home. We had a really nice time visiting and were sad to leave them. Below is a stuffed rottweiler that Taylor fell in love with. Since he didn't have a name that we wanted to say in front of Taylor we named him Brutus.

Tornado Taylor visited their living room.
Taylor enjoying her time with Jean and Don Becker.

Monday we visited one of 13 pools and as usual Taylor loved the water and had so much fun. Here she is relaxing after 1 1/2 hours in the pool.

We visited Downtown Disney several times for dinner while down there. Taylor loved Lego Land. The sea serpent in the water was very coool.

Outside the store they had a family made of legos and 5 dogs. Of course Taylor had to have her picture taken with each dog. Hard to believe 8 months ago this little girls was terrified of dogs no matter how far away she was from them.

I guess legos are going on the Christmas list for Santa!!!! In the store she had so much fun going form bin to bin playing with the pieces. I followed behind to make sure they all got back into the proper bin!!!!!
Outside of the store they have places you can make things out of legos. This kept Taylor entertained for a good 15 minutes before I pulled her away....I was hungry so it was time for dinner.
We had dinner with dinosaurs and her she is showing off her newest friend.
On Tuesday grandma and Ye-Ye Ron came over to stay with us for a few days. On Wednesday we all headed out to Disney very early in the morning. The first stop was the Grand Floridian Hotel for a character breakfast. First we wandered around the beautiful hotel.

Our breakfast started out with a visit from Winnie the Pooh. I wasn't sure how Taylor would react to the characters especially the big furry ones. I was worried for absolutely nothing!!! Taylor LOVED all the characters she met throughout the day. She couldn't get to them fast enough and didn't want them to leave when they had to move on. She hugged and kissed Pooh and just loved him.

After Pooh there was Tigger and Taylor loved him just as much as pooh. Tigger was so much fun. They rubbed noses together.

Then came Mary Poppins. Taylor loved her dress!!! She kept running around her and pulling up the dress and Mary stood there and took it like a champion and laughed. She really took a liking to Taylor and got down low to the ground to talk to her and hug her. It was so sweet to watch. Further down this post there is another tidbit about Mary Poppins and Taylor.

We were also visited by Alice in Wonderland who was also very sweet to Taylor. She was tiny girl and has my Mom pointed out she needed to be so she could fit down the rabbit hole!!!!

And last but not least, the Mad Hatter came by. Taylor was very taken by his large nose!!!!!

After breakfast it was off the the Magic Kingdom. This is my favorite park and I could go every day of the year!!! I couldn't wait for Taylor to see it and experience it. She got so excited when she saw the rides in Fantasy Land she couldn't decide what to do first. We rode the carousel (several times), Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan. We rode Aladdin's Magic Carpet...several times. We went to Big Bear Jamboree and she enjoyed the singing and dancing bears. My favorite ride the the Haunted Mansion and we all went on it. Didn't seem to phase Taylor one bit. She wasn't the least bit scared. Will see what happens in a few years when she is older and realizes what it is. This kid loves rides!!!!!!
I wanted to Taylor to meet Mickey and Minnie. After Fantasy Land we headed to the Judges Tent in Mickey's Toontown to see them. Again Taylor was not the least bit afraid. She loved them as you can tell in the pictures below. When we were on line in the room with them, there were 3 families ahead of us. Taylor didn't care, she jumped the line and went right up to them. I had to pull back so she wouldn't be in another families pictures and hang onto her until it was our turn. She was so cute with both of them and they were great with her. It was so sweet to watch. This was one happy little girl.

If you look closely you can see she is holding Tinkerbell.

One of several rides on the carousel.

Taking a spin on Dumbo.

Of course we had to go to the big parade where we saw ALL of the characters. Taylor was in her glory. She waved to everyone. After the parade the woman who was sitting next to Taylor said she loved watching Taylor's face during the parade. The best part of the parade was when Mary Poppins came by. It was the same one from breakfast. She recognized Taylor and you could here her saying "There's Taylor, I remember her from breakfast." It was so exciting. As you can see in the picture below she is pointing to Taylor.

Now Bert is also looking at Taylor. It was so cool to have her recognized by Mary Poppins!!

Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride

Playing peek-a-boo behind her new best friend.

This is Thursday morning and I can't even imagine what was going through her mind when this picture was taken. That is quite a look.

Relaxing with her new friends.

Modelling her new hat and ears.

Thursday after we said good-bye to Grandma and Ye-Ye Ron we went to Sea World. We just took in the Shamu show, dolphin show and the sea lion and walrus show and saw some animal exhibits. No rides today.

It looks like this penguin was serenading us.
