We walked through all the gates and vast open spaces of the Forbidden City where all the emperors used to live with the generals and the concubines. The architecture and colors of the buildings were beautiful. They have done a beautiful job restoring the buildings. All the moats have frozen over and still some snow on the ground. Cold but pleasant in the sun. From the start of Tienamin Square through the Forbidden City is 8.3km. We walked just about all of them.
Look at how big and vast this place is.
